The rumor is out, so I will confirm it. Due to health issues and the economy, we will be closing our door when our lease it up. Last day of business will be January 27th and there WILL be a stitch-in/potluck that night. All inventory needs to go. Therefore, everything is currently 30% off. Happy shopping! While we here at The Stitchers Hideaway are very sad to hear of the closing of Cross Stitch Plus, we are very excited to welcome Carol to our shop as our resident framer! She is the best of the best here in San Antonio and we can't wait. Carol will be coming into our shop starting July 19, 2011. She will be in on Tuesdays and Saturays from 10-2. So, come see Carol for all your framing needs!

Mark your calendars! The Stitcher's Hideaway is hosting their very first retreat at Creations Main House on July 29th through the 31st. Cost is $2oo for the weekend which includes food and lodging. There will be goodie bags for all participants, door prizes and a raffle. There are still beds open, so contact us today for more information or to reserve your spot!

Well, it took almost 4 weeks to get back up and running, but we're back! Thanks in no small part to an outpouring of support and help we received from a great many of our wonderful customers. We had to replace all of our inventory due to smoke damage and it took almost a month to get electricity back into our shop. As of today, we are back and (mostly) fully operational. The restoration company lost a couple of power cords and I can't get the printer to work on the wireless network, but the hubby will take care of that when he gets a day off of work. The last thing we were waiting on was the cable lines to be repaired and they did that today so now we have the internets! Thanks and hope to see you in the shop soon!

Dear customers. Our shopping center suffered some fire damage on the evening of 9/7/2010. While our shop was not burned by the fire, we did suffer some smoke damage. Our suite is currently undergoing restoration and all of our inventory has to be replaced. Our estimated time for reopening is somewhere between 9/18 and 9/25, hopefully. You may continue to place web orders, but all product will have to be special ordered and will ship upon receipt. We are temporarily going to take deliveries at our home and will ship product from there, it just may take a few days longer than usual turn around time since we currently have no inventory. We are all systems go on our online cross stitch supplies store. We have entered in a small portion of our products into the online catalog. We have a long way to go to get our entire catalog online, so please feel free to call us or stop by if you don't see what you are looking for on the website. Jennifer is working diligently entering in products, staring at the computer screen until she turns into a zombie, but she is not asleep, I don't care what the UPS guy says.

THANK YOU! We just wanted to extend a great big thank you to everyone who has supported us through our first two weeks. We have already made many new friends and look forward to growing these relationships. The support we have received from local clubs and patrons has been fantastic. We are grateful for the encouragement and support from everyone.

WE DID IT! It took the whole family and a long day, into the night, but we were able to get the store ready for opening by our (second) deadline. Come by 'n stitch!

Well, we missed our initial opening deadline. We are still waiting on a few of our display fixtures and most of our specialty floss. Looks like it should all be in and ready for a 2/5/2010 opening! Be ready for a friends and family event coming soon!

Jennifer has been working very hard to get the store opened by our deadline of 1/29/2010. The slatwall is hung, the painting is almost done and a large portion of the inventory and fixtures have already arrived. All that is left is the tedious task of entering in all of the new cross stitch inventory into the system as it arrives.

Thanks to mom, dad and hubby for all their help!
